What is H, H+ or 3G on your Android Devices?

It was so good in the old days when you had just one network to get connected to, to access the web. Since there is so much progress in technology and speeds, different network providers have also increased their speed limits. There are hundreds of people who are confused now as to which network they are connected to. They are actually using 3G and they think that they are using 2G in some cases. Now, when it comes to Android , there has been a lot of improvement and advancement. What you got to do now is get some things clear.

KNOW ABOUT G, E, 3G, H and H+

1. G – G stands for GPRS that gives you a speed of 86 KBPS

2. E – E stands for EDGE that gives you a speed of 236 KBPS

3. 3G – 3G is technically known as Universal Mobile Telecommunications System that gives you a speed of 386 KBPS

4. H – H is known as High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) that gives users a speed of 3.2 MBPS

5. H+ – H+ stands for High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) that is the fastest and gives users a speed of 7.2 MBPS

Some devices which are old do now display H or H+, it is possible that they show 3G
for UMTS, HSPA and HSPA+. G or E means users are connected to a 2G network, 3G is either disabled or your device is not in an area with 3G coverage.
